Survey Results 2021

A series of surveys are being developed by the team to get an initial idea of what former children of Centrepoint Community would like to see happen to bring about restorative change. The results will be published on this page as they are made available. 

 

The survey was done in the second half of 2021.

July - Sept 2021

Q1 - How old were you when you lived (or had significant visiting experiences if a child/youth) at Centrepoint? (39 responses)

Q2 - How do you feel about the idea of a restoration process for former children of Centrepoint? (39 responses)

69% (27 people) were very interested or quite interested. 5.1% (2 people) were opposed.

Q3 - How likely are you to participate in a restorative action process, if the right options were available to meet your needs, and you could be supported with any barriers you might face?        (39 responses)

79.5% (31 people) were very likely or somewhat likely to participate. Another 2.6% (1 person) would support a child-focused process. 5.1% (2 people) were very unlikely to support a process.

Q4 Further involvement (39 responses)

20 people (51.3%) indicated they want to be involved in shaping what the restoration process could look like. 

8 people (20.5%) indicated they are interested in being a part of the restoration process but not wanting to be involved in shaping what this could look like. 

1 person (2.6%) indicated they were interested in the restoration process but not in further contact.

6 people (15.5%) indicated they are interested in further contact and being informed.

2 people (5.2%) were unsure

1 person (2.6%) was uninterested in further contact or involvement in the restoration process

An email contact was left by 25 respondents, indicating they either wanted to be involved, or informed

"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
